I took this photo last summer. It was a simple shot taken by the camera on my phone but it’s one of my favourite photos. I think it proves that there is beauty even in being alone. It shows that despite the fact that this little gal is completely alone, she is still looking up. Okay, I know, I’m reading way too much into a little flower chilling out here but I think this little one is very symbolic of the way we often feel. The world around her is so distant. The grass is spreading out in so many different directions, just like our lives sometimes move in ways we cannot control but we still have to hang in there until things start to go our way again.

Aw thank you ^.^ I’m considering getting a tattoo in tribute to The Lion King movie. Sounds a bit silly really but I love that movie and it feels like it’s part of my history as a person because I watched it a lot on bad days as well as good.
One thing I neglected to ask you so far… how are you doing? Seems mad that I haven’t even asked about how things are going for you. Sorry about that!

Yeh everytime I hear a quote I love I want it inked on me and I have to caaalm down, because usually a few days later I’ve read one I like even more.. I feel like I keep stealing things from your blog, sorry! But that’s a great quote, and I’m keeping it 😉

I only have two at the moment, the fears vs dreams and a stupid star I keep meaning to jazz up on my hip.. I’ve designed my next one but it’s half on my upper arm and half on my wrist so I’m trying to wait and make sure I don’t get bored of it before it gets put somewhere so obvious! How many do you have?

Yeah, that makes sense. I have three tattoos… 2 nautical stars on my right forearm (I call them one tattoo even though they are separate. I think I do that cos they were part of the same piece), a quill with spilled ink and ‘Mom’ written beside it and a heart with headphones on it with my wife’s name in the headband. The last two are on my left forearm.

Well you can be double proud that your photograph is my iPhone wallpaper 😀 (my wallpaper before said ‘happiness is only real when it’s shared’.. That wasn’t very positive for a loner 😉 ha) so thank you, your picture and the way you see that lonesome flower, are simply beautiful.

Ooh that’s quite a tough question because I adore a good quote! I haven’t found ‘the one’ just yet, but I’m constantly saving quotes from books on my kindle.. I have ‘fears vs dreams’ tattooed on my back which I remind myself of daily whenever I’m too scared to do what I want to do.. but that’s not really a quote, more a mantra I stole from TWLOHA… Do you?

Fears vs dreams… I like that! I’d like to get a quote tattoo but it’s hard to find one that feels quite right for me. I’ll find one eventually though. I love the quote ”All endings are also beginnings. We just don’t know it at the time.” It helps me to try to stay positive when things go wrong… which they usually do! 🙂
